1982-ben a Balatonfüredi Hajógyárban készült a tihanyi Limnológiai Intézet részére "Biológia" néven. A hajóban hidroboilógiai laboratórium volt berendezve. 2003-ban az állami támogatás jelentős csökkentése miatt a hajót az intézet értékesítette. 2004-ben személyhajóvá alakították át, az új neve St Benedek lett.
